Created in the late 1950's as a vacation community for Washington residents, Blue Mountain has become a mix of summer residents and families establishing year-round homes. The area is known for its scenic overlooks and seasonal wildflowers as well as peaceful mountain living. The Subdivision is a Sanitary District through Warren County and is managed by an executive board elected by the property owners.

One of the members of our Roads Committee, Tim Goddard, surveyed all of our 15 miles of roads for culverts and put together a database on their location, diameter, direction of flow, and some comments about their condition. That map is now on the Maps page of the website.
As we continue to improve the condition of our roads, knowing the location of all of these culverts is very important. If they get clogged up, they are very hard to notice by our contractors. If the culverts are not kept open, storm water flows across or stands on top of the road and passing vehicles create bigger and bigger potholes and expensive maintenance issues.
Thanks to Tim's work, we will be in a much better position to have contractors quickly find them and clean them out resulting in better roads that are less expensive to maintain.
